AAUW-BAY COLLEGE PARTNERSHIP/SCHOLARSHIP

AAUW and Bay de Noc Community College enjoy and official “college partnership” entitling students to many AAUW benefits (i.e., free e-student membership, access to research, scholarships and grants; public policy and legislation; leadership workshops, etc.) College/University AAUW Partnership Memberships are $130 annually, which are paid by the institution.

AAUW BRANCH SCHOLARSHIP $500

AAUW M. JEAN JOKIPII SCHOLARSHIP $500

The Branch contributes to AAUW FUNDS that support National and International Education Scholarships and Grants as well as the Legal Advocacy Fund (LAF). The LAF partners with other civil and woman’s rights organizations to support strategic litigation that affects women in all workplaces to eradicate sex discrimination. Funding is also given for AAUW Leadership Workshops (i.e., National Conference for College Women Student Leaders, Elect Her, $tart $mart). AAUW also partners with the National Girls’ Cooperative Project to encourage girls and women to consider careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
